The World Conference on Educational Multimedia, Hypermedia and Telecommunications is better know under the name EdMedia.

According to the official home page (retrieved on July 1 2013), The EdMedia World Conference on Educational Media and Technology is an international conference, organized by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE). This annual conference serves as a multi-disciplinary forum for the discussion and exchange of information on the research, development, and applications on all topics related to multimedia, hypermedia and telecommunications/distance education.

Proceedings are available at editlib.org (PayWall)

Opinion of Daniel K. Schneider: EdMedia is a major conference in Educational Technology. It participation mix (researchers, developers, and users) guarantees an "openness", where anyone that has a good idea or did create a nice design (and can write) is allowed to present. E.g. this conference is often used to present new artifacts and concepts. However, both audience and enthousiasm seem to have declined over the last 10 years, e.g. I could compare the 2002 and the 2012 edition which both took place in Denever. Or is it just the young generation ?
