[edit] Paper suggestion
Great wiki! This one might fit too: A Characterization of Wikipedia Content Based on Motifs in the Edit Graph Guangyu Wu, Martin Harrigan, Padraig Cunningham, February 2011 --85.177.92.47 13:25, April 30, 2012 (EDT)
- Hi. I'm going to create it here A Characterization of Wikipedia Content Based on Motifs in the Edit Graph, but remember that you are welcome to edit and create new pages (see left sidebar). Regards. emijrp (talk) 13:28, April 30, 2012 (EDT)
[edit] What to do
Hey! Thanks for the welcome. I figured it's about time I started helping out a bit. I've been filling in a little bit of missing info while I'm browsing around, but I'm not sure what else this wiki needs. I've found a few work lists(e.g. paper issues, author issues & giant todo), but I'm not sure what to to do (if anything) beyond doing data entry. Is there space for reviews/discussion about papers? Are there rules or policies here that I should be aware of? --Halfak 10:02, May 30, 2012 (EDT)
- Yes, the areas to improve include adding new publications, authors, datasets, tools, or filling the missing parameters for them. In the sidebar there are some sections "Concepts", "Open questions", "Research areas", which need help. Also, you can review papers in the "Discussion" space available at the bottom for every page. I think that the best policy here is "we want to create a nice place to talk about wiki research". Regards. emijrp (talk) 10:20, May 30, 2012 (EDT)
[edit] Wikipedia research and tools: Review and comments
Hi,
The article here at WikiPapers cites that the mentioned publication is from 2011, but the downloaded file cites 2012. The author released a new version or it was an typographical error present in the file from the beggining? 555 19:51, June 5, 2012 (EDT)
- Looks like a work in progress (a review needs a lot of work), so he may has updated the file. Anyway, you can contact him using the e-mail in his website. Regards. emijrp (talk) 02:46, June 6, 2012 (EDT)
