I am an active user of the French Wikipedia since 2006. I became a sysop recently.
In real life, I am doing a PhD in Information and Communication sciences (a kind of French counterpart to media studies). My doctoral thesis bears upon the introduction of the Stock Exchange section in the daily press (something that vaguely occurs between the beginning of the XVIIIth century and the midst of the XIXth).
As a matter of fact, my real life and my wikipedian life tend to go along, as I develop a growing scholar interest for the online encyclopedia. Since several weeks, I regularly publish a Wiki Studies newsletter on the French Wikipedia : les Nouvelles du Wikilab.
I am currently working on three Wikipedia-centered scholar researches:
- An article for the French political science journal Négociations.
- A chapter within E-Learning 2.0 (IGI Global): Is Wikipedia a Relevant Model for E-Learning? I have disclosed a preprint on Wikipapers: File:Wikipedia E-Learning Model Preprint.pdf
- A conference to be held at the ISCC (Paris) on the 5th of June 2013.
