Application of web 2.0 technologies in e-learning context is a 2010 conference paper written in English by Wan L. and published in 2010 International Conference on Networking and Digital Society, ICNDS 2010.
Web 2.0 is defined as the collective set of Internet-based tools such as wikis, blogs, web based applications, social networking sites and so on. The use of Web 2.0 is a new era in the practice of e-learning. In this paper, the author firstly introduced the landscape of Web 2.0 and their application in educational activities. Then the author analyzed three current models of using Web 2.0 theory and technologies in e-learning context. Based on the analysis of the three models, the author proposed an integrated framework of using web 2.0 technologies in e-learning 2.0. The framework consist of Web 2.0 tools, e-learning 2.0 application and e-learning 2.0 learning modes. The framework will help researchers understand the web based e-learning architecture.
