A support framework for argumentative discussions management in the web Lecture Notes in Computer Science English 2013 On the Web, wiki-like platforms allow users to provide arguments in favor or against issues proposed by other users. The increasing content of these platforms as well as the high number of revisions of the content through pros and cons arguments make it difficult for community managers to understand and manage these discussions. In this paper, we propose an automatic framework to support the management of argumentative discussions in wiki-like platforms. Our framework is composed by (i) a natural language module, which automatically detects the arguments in natural language returning the relations among them, and (ii) an argumentation module, which provides the overall view of the argumentative discussion under the form of a directed graph highlighting the accepted arguments. Proceedings of the 3rd Annual ACM Web Science Conference, WebSci 2013 English 2013 To publish information extracted from multilingual pages of Wikipedia in a structured way, the Semantic Web community has started an effort of internationalization of DBpe-dia. Multilingual chapters of DBpedia can in fact contain different information with respect to the English version, in particular they provide more specificity on certain topics, or fill information gaps. DBpedia multilingual chapters are well connected through instance interlinking, extracted from Wikipedia. An alignment between properties is also carried out by DBpedia contributors as a mapping from the terms used in Wikipedia to a common ontology, enabling the exploitation of information coming from the multilingual chapters of DBpedia. However, the mapping process is currently incomplete, it is time consuming since it is manually performed, and may lead to the introduction of redundant terms in the ontology, as it becomes difficult to navigate through the existing vocabulary. In this paper we propose an approach to automatically extend the existing alignments, and we integrate it in a question answering system over linked data. We report on experiments carried out applying the QAKiS (Question Answering wiKiframework-based) system on the English and French DBpedia chapters, and we show that the use of such approach broadens its coverage. Querying multilingual DBpedia with QAKiS Lecture Notes in Computer Science English 2013 We present an extension of QAKiS, a system for open domain Question Answering over linked data, that allows to query DBpedia multilingual chapters. Such chapters can contain different information with respect to the English version, e.g. they provide more specificity on certain topics, or fill information gaps. QAKiS exploits the alignment between properties carried out by DBpedia contributors as a mapping from Wikipedia terms to a common ontology, to exploit information coming from DBpedia multilingual chapters, broadening therefore its coverage. SweetWiki : Semantic WEb enabled technologies in wiki CEUR Workshop Proceedings English 2006 Wikis are social web sites enabling a potentially large number of participants to modify any page or create a new page using their web browser. As they grow, wikis suffer from a number of problems (anarchical structure, large number of pages, aging navigation paths, etc.). We believe that semantic wikis can improve navigation and search. In SweetWiki we investigate the use of semantic web technologies to support and ease the lifecycle of the wiki. The very model of wikis was declaratively described: an OWL schema captures concepts such as WikiWord, wiki page, forward and backward link, author, etc. This ontology is then exploited by an embedded semantic search engine (Corese). In addition, SweetWiki integrates a standard WYSIWYG editor (Kupu) that we extended to support semantic annotation following the "social tagging" approach made popular by web sites such as flickr.com. When editing a page, the user can freely enter some keywords in an AJAX-powered textfield and an auto-completion mechanism proposes existing keywords by issuing SPARQL queries to identify existing concepts with compatible labels. Thus tagging is both easy (keyword-like) and motivating (real time display of the number of related pages) and concepts are collected as in folksonomies. To maintain and reengineer the folksonomy, we reused a web-based editor available in the underlying semantic web server to edit semantic web ontologies and annotations. Unlike in other wikis, pages are stored directly in XHTML ready to be served and semantic annotations are embedded in the pages themselves using RDF/A. If someone sends or copy a page, the annotations follow it, and if an application crawls the wiki site it can extract the metadata and reuse them. 0 0
